War Risk Surcharge [WRS] – Middle East effective 07th July 2019
Dear Valued Customers, Given the latest incidents in the Gulf of Oman; most of the shipping lines that are operating in the Middle East have been hit by an increasing insurance cost that has impacted our current costing structure which led to considerable increase in our operating costs. Hence, United Africa Feeder Line [UAFL] will implement a War Risk Surcharge [WRS] in order to recover those costs, details as follows: Scope: All shipments to / from Middle East Quantum: USD 40/80 per 20/40 Effective date: 7th July 2019 (BL date) The payment of this surcharge will be borne by the freight payer.
