Dear Valued Customers,

RE: NHAVA SHEVA SEAL REQUIREMENT UPDATE

As per advisory from APM Terminals Mumbai, please be advised that all import containers discharged with seal discrepancies shall be put on hold and shall only be released for delivery after due clearance from Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House.

The specified container seal discrepancies mentioned above include and are not limited to:
1. Containers not sealed with bottle seals
2. Containers with missing seals
3. Containers with tampered seals,
4. Mismatch between manifested seal numbers (as declared on Shipping Instructions and bills of lading), and physical seal numbers on the container.

Please be advised any containers found to have seal discrepancies will be subject to penalties which include and are not limited to amending charges at Customs as well as additional Terminal handling fees the container whilst on hold.

Going forward, to avoid additional costs and delays for shipments to Nhava Sheva, please ensure that all containers are sealed with bottle seals and that the seal numbers endorsed on your shipping instructions, are correct and complete (including zeros ‘0’, and prefixes, if any).
