Implementation of Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS)


Dear Valued Customers, In view of the current geopolitical developments and prevailing security conditions in the Arabian Gulf,

which are creating operational challenges for shipping, UAFL will implement an Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) to partially offset the additional operational costs arising from the current situation. Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) levels:- USD 2,000 per 20’ container USD 3,000 per 40’ container Scope of Application Exports from the Arabian Gulf Local export containers are currently lying at Jebel Ali Terminal. Local export bookings have already been released but are not yet gated in. All new export bookings Imports into the Arabian Gulf All import cargo on water destined for Arabian Gulf ports. All new import bookings into Arabian Gulf Ports. The surcharge will apply with immediate effect and until further notice.
